The Australian Defence Export Office (ADEO) was established in April 2018 as a key initiative of the 2018 Defence Export Strategy. The ADEO is the focal point for coordinating whole-of-government defence export support for Australian defence industry, to ensure it can meet Australia’s defence capability needs now and into the future.
The ADEO tailors its assistance to Australian companies on a case-by-case basis, and endeavours to provide a targeted level of support across all stages of a company’s export journey.

Team Defence Australia
Team Defence Australia (TDA), as part of the ADEO, is the national platform for Australian defence industry to showcase their goods, services, technologies and solutions at international tradeshows.
Exhibiting with TDA is free, with successful companies responsible for their individual expenses. TDA provides free space on the custom-built National pavilion, pre-event support and advice including Austrade’s network of business advisors, invaluable senior military support and advocacy, market insight briefings, networking opportunities, B2B matching and on-site support at the show.

Online Pitch Training Program
The ADEO, in partnership with 25eight, have created a pitch training program (which have both a short and long option) specifically for businesses looking to export defence and dual use goods and services. Businesses are encouraged to complete the long option to get the most value from the program, however, for those attending upcoming events, the short option is provided for you in preparation for the event. The training is fully subsidised for Australian Defence Industry businesses and by accepting a position in the Team Defence Australia delegation, you are agreeing to participate in the pitch training.
These two programs are specifically designed to improve the chances of success for Australian defence industry companies when engaging with opportunities to pitch their capabilities to foreign military and military suppliers. The training is delivered through a series of webinars, online modules and one-to-one pitch practice sessions.
Australian Defence Industry businesses are encouraged to apply for the long program by registering their interest at the link below. Multiple people from the same business can be included as a single application. Limited spaces are available on each cohort and the ADEO will prioritise businesses who have recently participated in an industry delegation with TDA.

Australian Defence Industry businesses completing an expression of interest application to attend an international tradeshow as part of the Team Defence Australia delegation and have not yet completed the long pitch training program must register for the short course when advised.
Australian Defence Sales Catalogue
The Australian Defence Sales Catalogue provides information on Australian Defence Force equipment and defence industry products and services for sale to foreign government customers. Participation is subject to an application process but inclusion is free. More information is available here.
Trade missions and other events
The ADEO conducts international trade missions, supports the defence industry component of the Indo-Pacific Endeavour deployment, and runs other export-related events and missions in Australia and internationally. These targeted activities are organised to around specific events, and will be advertised here when applications are open.

MSPO is Poland's only military and defence trade show, focused on the land and air domains.
2023 Targi Kielce Defence Industry Expo brought 711 companies from 35 countries, including defence ministers, decision-makers, end users and defence industry professionals. The trade fair hosted 61 delegations from 43 countries. Almost 26,000 guests from all over the world attended MSPO 2023. This offers Australian export-capable businesses the opportunity to showcase their innovative products and services, make international contacts and potentially identify new supply chain relationships.

Association of the United States Army Annual Meeting and Exhibition (AUSA) is one of the largest land power exposition and professional development forums in North America, attracting close to 30,000 attendees and 700+ exhibitors annually. Taking place over three days, AUSA brings together the global defence and security sector to highlight the capabilities of Army organisations while showcasing the latest equipment, industry products, systems and services.
AUSA provides a valuable forum to promote Australian capabilities and innovation amongst US defence industry executives and relevant defence leadership. It serves to advance industrial base cooperation, discuss future projects, identify mutual investment opportunities and reinforce strategic objectives of the military alliance.

The International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX) is one of the largest defence exhibitions in the Middle East & North Africa region, demonstrating the latest technology across land and air sectors in defence. The event will take place across 12 indoor halls and outdoor exhibition space at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
It is a unique platform to establish and strengthen relationships with government, military and industry throughout the region. IDEX is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, with the full support of the UAE Armed Forces.
As part of the TDA delegation, companies will receive free space on the custom-built national pavilion, providing a platform to showcase and demonstrate your capability face-to-face with the UAE Ministry of Defence, foreign delegations, and industry partners. Additionally, delegates will receive services to maximise participation at the show, including; pre-event support, market advice and business-to-business matching through Austrade's network of business advisers.
Important note for companies wishing to promote maritime products and services at IDEX:
TDA can only accept companies wishing to promote maritime products and services in the delegation as 'Rovers' (non-exhibitors). IDEX will be co-located with the Naval Defence and Maritime Security Exhibition (NAVDEX). The event organisers have prohibited the display and promotion of maritime products and services in the IDEX halls, where the Australian pavilion will be located. TDA is not supporting a separate delegation or pavilion for NAVDEX but encourage maritime companies to apply for the IDEX delegation as 'Rovers'.

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) has partnered with industry to host an annual Conference in Tampa, FL for more than a decade.
In 2021, USSOCOM decided to expand the event to a broader convention for the entire SOF Community, akin to an AUSA National Meeting for the U.S. Army or the AFA National Convention for the U.S. Air Force. Thus, SOF Week was born! The first rendition of this modified format occurred in May 2023.
For industry attendees, SOF Week offers significant opportunities for business intelligence, detailed insights, tips and information on what capabilities are most desired by the community on how to conduct business with the U.S. Special Operations Command.
